COOL DOWN LATE WEEK

TONIGHT: Hazy and smoky skies will linger into the evening, with showers and thunderstorms dying out shortly after the sun sets tonight. Overnight lows will drop into the low and mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Hot and hazy yet again with temps in the 90's to low 100's. Afternoon storms will fire up in mountains between noon and 2 pm before scattering across the lower terrain areas after 5 pm and through midnight. Due to the slow-moving nature of the storms, flash flooding is possible.

EXTENDED: Chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms are ramping up for Friday as a front sweeps the state yielding a cooldown as well as a lingering chance for afternoon storms on Saturday. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper-80s! Won't that feel great for a change.
