WEATHER ALERT DAY: We'll see a severe thunderstorm threat across southern Colorado Tuesday afternoon and evening.

TODAY: Quiet weather early in the day, with afternoon convection starting to fire after 2 PM. Isolated to scattered severe storms are possible from 2 PM until around 8 PM Tuesday night. The greatest threat is for damaging hail and strong damaging winds. Be weather aware as we head into the afternoon and evening. Most of the storms should come to an end by 9 PM tonight.

TONIGHT: Skies will partially clear heading overnight into Wednesday morning. Sunrise temperatures will fall into the upper-50s and lower-60s overnight.

EXTENDED: Wednesday is looking another active weather day with an elevated chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. Afternoon highs will be slightly cooler with highs in the mid-80s for Colorado Springs and the low-90s for Pueblo.
Shower and thunderstorm chances are lower for the end of the week and the weekend. Expect warmer temperatures Saturday and Sunday, with highs approaching the low-100s for Pueblo this weekend.
