Relatively Quiet Today, Storms Tomorrow

TODAY:  Mostly sunny with below average temperatures in the 60s and 70s for many areas, but the high mountain valleys will likely reach the 80s. Winds will be gusty at times coming from the south southwest from anywhere between 10-20 mph. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are most likely over and near the mountains to the south and southwest of Pueblo. One or two storms in Las Animas may reach the severe criteria, with the main threat being hail.

TONIGHT: Showers and thunderstorms come to an end by 11 PM, with partly cloudy conditions expected.

TOMORROW: Much warmer air moves into the region, which will linger into the start of the work week next week. Winds will be blowing from the south southwest in the morning, helping to bring in some humidity. This will ultimately allow a few storms to reach severe criteria tomorrow. While the threat looks to be once again confined to the eastern Plains, one or two storms could produce hail or damaging winds along the Front Range. For the next 5 days, temperatures are expected to hover in the low to mid 90s.
