Club Q shooting surveillance video will not be released to the public
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Suspected Club Q shooter Anderson Aldrich was in a Colorado Springs courtroom for a hearing Friday.
Scheduling and timelines regarding arraignment and the potential length of a trial were discussed but the short hearing on Friday mainly focused on whether the surveillance video from Club Q would be released to the public.

Following a discussion with both the defense and prosecution, the judge ruled that the video will not be released to the public.
Among his reasons for this ruling, the judge cited that both legal teams argued believe the video is not public record, no members of the media/press filed to have the video released as public record, and though the video will be included as evidence, it is not in the court file so, therefore, it is not public.
During the hearing Friday, the potential length of the trial was also discussed. The judge says he anticipates a possible eight-week trial, while the prosecution said they are anticipating a potential six-week trial.
