Major cooldown finally arrives

Today: High temperatures drop to the mid 70s for Colorado Springs. Pueblo, La Junta, and Lamar will likely still be in the low 80s. Sunday brings the best outdoor conditions for anyone looking to go for a hike. Mountains will be mostly dry. Late Sunday night a few thunderstorms pop up across the southern areas and head into Kansas.

Tomorrow: We're back to seeing a stronger chance to get a thunderstorm for Colorado Springs. Rain, followed by thunder and lightning is expected around 7 pm. Storms roll out to the eastern areas through the overnight hours. High temperatures remain mild and in the low 70s for Colorado Springs.
