Colorado Springs Firefighters coming back home after fighting deadly fire in California
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - After two weeks of fighting fires in Southern California firefighters with the Colorado Springs Fire Department are coming home.
The firefighters were fighting the Palisades Fire one of the deadliest fires in California history.
According to CSFD, those who were assigned to head out to California sometimes even slept in people's backyards to get rest.
The crews also helped clean up neighborhoods once homeowners could finally come home.
