3-year-old girl dies after being hit by a car driven by her mother
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO)-- The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) says a three-year-old girl was killed Sunday when she was hit by a car her mother was driving.
According to CSP, at a little after 9 A.M. on Sunday, a 27-year-old woman from Colorado Springs hit the three-year-old child with her car in a driveway. CSP says the crash happened at a home near Fontaine Boulevard and Lamprey Drive, which is the Lorson Ranch area in unincorporated El Paso County.
The girl was rushed to Children's Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
CSP is still investigating the injury crash but does not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
CSP has not publicly identified the child or her mother.
