Police ID victims of double-homicide in north Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police say two young men were the victims of a fatal shooting that happened this weekend in north Colorado Springs.

Investigators with CSPD said at 1:27 a.m. on Saturday, shots were fired at a gathering in the 11900 block of Hanging Valley Way. Police found two dead men at the residence.

Wednesday, CSPD identified the victims as 22-year-old Francis McKinnis III and 18-year-old Wolfgang Massie.

At this time, it's not yet clear what led to the shootings. We're working on getting more information about the motive for the shootings.

Neighbors told KRDO crews they heard between twenty and thirty gunshots within a few minutes, then saw a number of people and cars leave the area.

Police haven't given information about a potential suspect or suspects in the shootings.
