Speeder caught going double the speed limit near S. Nevada shopping centers

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- It's not just on Interstate 25 -- police in Colorado Springs are catching people going way too fast across town.

In one spot on S. Nevada Ave., where pedestrians are frequently seen and traffic is heavy, one driver was caught Sunday going 72 mph in a 35 mph zone.

The speeder was seen near 1800 S. Nevada, which is near a few shopping centers.

Last month, police caught numerous drivers getting near triple-digits on I-25.
