First in-person Denver Veterans Day Parade and Festival since 2019 is happening Sat. Nov. 5

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Veterans Project (CVP) is hosting its ninth annual Denver Veterans Day Parade and Festival for the first time in person in three years.

Saturday, the community is invited to come out to out and honor and commemorate veterans and uniformed military members.

According to organizers, this Denver Veterans Day Parade and Festival is the first one being held in person since 2019. The new route warps around Civic Center Park.

Organizers said in a press release said it'll be a "day of pride and patriotism" that will raise funds for veteran organizations in Colorado.

The parade and festival are free to attend and include marching bands, floats, car clubs, military reenactments, local vendors, and more.

The festival happens Saturday, Nov. 5, and begins with a ringing of the Liberty Bell to signal the start of the parade at 9:59 a.m. The parade will begin at 14th Street and W Colfax Ave.

The parade is expected to end at noon with the full festival being over by 2 p.m.
