The School Buzz: Sierra High School choir performs on Pikes Peak

A group of local high school students took time away from the classroom this week to perform at the top of Pikes Peak.

Sierra High School's choir took a field trip to sing "America The Beautiful" at the top of America's Mountain. Why? Because the song was written by Katharine Lee Bates after being inspired by her trip to the peak more than 100 years ago. It was an experience that Sierra's choir teacher says made the student's performance even more significant.
