City of Colorado Springs brings back ice skating at Acacia Park this holiday season

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The City of Colorado Springs announced Wednesday that the ice skating rink is making its return to Acacia Park this holiday season.

Ice skating will be open to the public on Friday, Nov. 11 with a grand opening celebration on Friday, Nov. 18, according to city officials. Ice skating will be open until January 31, 2023.

Ice skating hours and prices

Friday, Nov. 11: Skate park opens

4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

$10 for skate rentals

Friday, Nov. 18: Grand opening event with Tree Lighting Ceremony

City officials said the Tree Lighting Ceremony is free to attend and includes a visit from Santa himself. The program is set to start at 4 p.m. with the U.S. Figure Skating athletes taking to the rink. The tree lighting will begin at 6 p.m.
