Meow Wolf co-founder dies unexpectedly Saturday
SANTA FE, N.M. (KRDO) -- The co-founder of Meow Wolf, Matt King died unexpectedly Saturday, according to the company.
According to 9NEWS, King was the creative director and artist of the New Mexico-based arts and entertainment company. In 2008, King was present for Meow Wolf's first company meeting, along with Meow Wolf's first immersive art show creator, Quinn Tincher.
In a statement provided by Meow Wolf Workers Collective:
"The collective he co-founded lifted up hundreds of creatives and countless more creatives yet-to-be. For that we wish to express our deepest gratitude and honor to Matt, and our deepest sympathies to his friends and family."

In 2016, Meow Wolf opened its first location in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The company expanded with two more exhibits: "Omega Mart at Area 15" in Las Vegas and "Convergence Station" in Denver.
