Colorado Springs Bartenders’ Guild helps its own during COVID-19

Serving the Springs, a food and supply drive for hospitality workers by the Colorado Springs Bartenders' Guild

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The Colorado Springs Bartenders' Guild is stepping up and helping its own, as restaurant and other hospitality workers remain off the job due to COVID-19 restrictions closing dining rooms.

The local Bartenders' Guild has started a food and supply drive for hospitality professionals in need called "Serving the Springs."

"As an organization made up of and led by hospitality workers, we decided the best thing that we could do is make sure that none of our own are left hungry," the group said on its information page. "It is our hope that relieving some of the day-to-day expenses of life will allow us all to save a little money for other expenses which may not be negotiable."

The Bartenders' Guild is also selling T-shirts that say "Stir Crazy." $15 per T-shirt goes to the Serving the Springs initiative.
