Colorado Springs man on bail for auto theft busted again in stolen car
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- He was released from jail on bond after being arrested for motor vehicle theft in January, but a Colorado Springs man is facing even more charges after being caught by police getting into a stolen vehicle Sunday.
Bradley Guy, 21, still has an open case in El Paso County for an incident on Jan. 3, when he was caught with a woman in a stolen vehicle near a store on New Center Point, according to police. Guy ran away on foot but an officer used a Taser on him and took him into custody for motor vehicle theft, unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon, and resisting.
But on Sunday, police say they were watching a stolen vehicle in the 2600 block of Ore Mill Road and they saw Guy get into the car. The officer tried to stop the vehicle, but Guy drove "a very short distance before getting stuck due to a flattened tire."
Police say Guy again tried to run on foot, but he was caught and taken into custody. He's now facing additional charges for motor vehicle theft.
