Absolutely Colorado: Community comes together to support evacuees impacted by wildfire

Pueblo County Sheriff's Office

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) is offering help with donations for those impacted by the "Aspen Acres" fire currently burning in Pueblo and Custer Counties.

According to the PCSO Facebook, large amounts of donations are already rolling in. Two local Walmart stores donated water pallets, and a local church brought food earlier today.

PCSO is now asking for donations to be sent to 1650 Cooper Pl. in Pueblo. According to the PCSO website, water is not currently needed, but the location is accepting prepackaged snacks.

PCSO also says the Community Animal Response Team is asking for grass-only hay donations for the animals at the Colorado State Fair. Officials ask that donations be brought to Gate 7.

Other donations are being accepted by the American Red Cross of Colorado and the United Way of Southern Colorado, according to the PCSO website.
