Two townhomes in Colorado Springs unlivable after fire on Maitland Court

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A fire on the northwest side of Colorado Springs left two townhome units unlivable. Firefighters extinguished the blaze within one hour and no injuries were reported.

The fire occurred on Maitland Court, where heavy flames originated on the back porch of a townhome. The fire had already overtaken the porch by the time emergency crews arrived at the scene.

Firefighters shared video footage showing the moment crews arrived with a truck as flames engulfed the structure.

The extent of the fire left the residents of the two affected townhome units displaced.
