COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has confirmed that a 17-year-old male motorcycle driver was killed in a crash on June 15 near the intersection of Briargate Parkway and Lexington Drive.

Police say they responded to the crash around 9:15 a.m., and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, according to the law enforcement.

An initial investigation found that the motorcycle was eastbound on Briargate Parkway while the vehicle was westbound, attempting to turn left onto southbound Lexington Drive when they collided, says CSPD.

Police say the crash is still under investigation and that speed is being investigated as a factor. This crash marks the 27th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs in 2026, according to CSPD.
