Showers and storms again today with hot and dry conditions for the weekend

Tonight we do have a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms here in the Pikes Peak Region. We do have a Flash Flood Watch that is in effect for the Aspen Acres Burn Area through 8 P.M. tonight. Some of the storms out on the Eastern Plains may become severe, with large hail and strong damaging winds. It will be on the breezy side, with overnight lows falling into the mid to upper 50s.

Saturday will bring us mostly sunny skies with just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. We will see slightly warmer temperatures with highs in the lower 90s for those of us along the I-25 Corridor with near triple digit heat out on the Eastern Plains.

The hot and dry conditions will continue throughout the weekend. Expects highs on Sunday in the low to mid 90s.

The hot and dry weather will persist into the beginning of next week, and right through the middle part of the week. Expect lots of sunshine and temperatures in the lower 90s from Monday through Thursday.
