Governor Polis visits southern Colorado to celebrate state’s aerospace industry

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – Colorado Governor Jared Polis is set to visit Southern Colorado on Wednesday.

In a press release, Governor Polis says he will visit Colorado Springs and Pueblo to highlight Colorado’s strong aerospace industry and important investments in public safety, workforce development, and saving Coloradans money. 

Stops on his visit include Safe Passage, a victim's services and advocacy organization based in Colorado Springs, Colorado State University Pueblo's Center for Integrated Health and Human Inquiry, AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps in Pueblo, and The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs for The Space Symposium.

In the release, Governor Polis says he will will visit with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps in Pueblo to highlight their important work helping Coloradans file their taxes and take advantage of tax credits that save people money. Furthermore, he will attend the 40th Annual Space Symposium to discuss Colorado’s leadership in the aerospace industry.

At the Space Symposium, the Governor is expected to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with New Zealand's Space Minister Judith Collins.
