Naked hiker at Palmer Park in Co. Springs stuns couple, others say he’s been spotted before

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - A Colorado Springs man spoke exclusively with KRDO13, sharing his bizarre encounter with a nude hiker at a pull-off in Palmer Park. The man filmed the encounter, which led to a frenzy on social media on Wednesday.

Eli Fenner was parked in his car with his girlfriend on Wednesday at Palmer Park, a typical activity for the couple who lives just minutes away. It was there they encountered a man, completely naked.

Fenner would record two videos, roughly 20 seconds or more in length, showing that man baring it all in broad daylight.

Fenner can be heard in the one video that went viral, asking the un-identified man, "Hey, what are you doing?".

The man answers very nonchalantly with one word, "Hiking", to which Fenner puzzeledly asks, "Naked?".

The video drew hundreds of reactions, shares and comments on Facebook Wednesday afternoon, before he shared it exclusively with KRDO13.

Fenner says, it happened about 10 minutes into he and his girlfriend being parked in Palmer Park, before the man appeared on the rear camera of his Tesla car.

"It took 2 seconds to identify what i was looking at." explained Fenner. "It hit me like a light. And then the moment I pull out my phone, I was like, I got to record this and get this out, man."

The man then disappears from sight after the conclusion of the original viral video. However Fenner says that the man eventually came back about 20 minutes later.

"I was even more disgusted the second time, when I was able to actually see the parts." said the 22-year-old, when seeing the frontside of the man while he walked in the direction of their vehicle.

"[It] seemed like he was, he was normal about it, like again, this was regular behavior." said Fenner.

KRDO13 was told by other residents, that may actually be the case.

Gabby Apodaca-Paterson was with her husband shooting her maternity photos around 7 p.m. just a few weeks ago at the same spot in Palmer Park, when their photographer froze:

"She whispered, there's a naked man behind you." said Apodaca-Paterson. "Like, shut up. and I turned around like, there is a naked man behind us!"

The soon-to-be-Mother says the photographer just missed getting the man in the background of one of her photos. She says now, upon seeing this clip go viral, her wild encounter has been vindicated.

"Like, oh my gosh, now people actually believe our story wasn't crazy." she said.

Meanwhile Eli Fenner, just hopes police will be able to track the man down.

"I would honestly say, man, you got to do better. You know. You got to do better if you're going to walk around the neighborhood looking like that, man." said Fenner.

Colorado Springs Police say they did arrive at Palmer Park just after 11 a.m. after calls for service came in about the man, however they came up empty handed.

Police say if anyone spots the man again to alert them, as he could be charged with Indecent Exposure.
