El Paso County seeking nominations for 2023 Veteran of the Year

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- El Paso County's Division of Veterans Services is now seeking nominations for the 2023 Veteran of the Year.

The nominations are being accepted through April 1st.

The ideal candidate would have demonstrated exemplary military service, community service, and support for veterans in our community.

They must be honorably discharged and/or retired from service from one of the five armed forces.

This includes veterans in the Reserve, the National Guard, and the U.S. Merchant Marines.

Fianlly, the ideal candidiate must live in El Paso County.
