Colorado Springs Police Department respond to an active burglary on North Academy

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a burglary in progress on North Academy Blvd just after 2:10 a.m. on Feb. 15, 2024. When officers arrived on the scene they found a man still inside rummaging through the property.

According to officers, the suspect broke the glass door with a rock and was staging merchandise outside the door.

Officers were able to take the suspect into custody and discovered that the suspect was a fugitive from Utah with an active parole warrant.
