Medication take-back locations in Colorado

DEA Rocky Mountain Field Division

COLORADO (KRDO) -- The United States Drug Enforcement Administration is launching a new campaign encouraging the public to make "Every Day... Take back day."

It's an annual event between the DEA and local law enforcement that encourages the community to get rid of medication they no longer use or need. It's typically really successful with more than 1.2 million pounds of medication collected just last year.

The DEA wants to make this opportunity available to the public year-round. They've registered nearly 1,700 new authorized collectors for Americans to use any day of the year.

We have roughly 250 collectors here in Colorado with several sites in our area. To find a location site near you click here.
