CSU conducting prescribed burns on Pikes Peak
EL PASO COUNTY, Co. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Utilities will be conducting a prescribed burn on Pikes Peak on Feb. 6, 2024. The burn piles will be located at the north and south Catamount reservoirs on Pikes Peak.
The burns will run from 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. The operation is an ongoing effort of a Colorado Springs Utilities wildfire mitigation project. The project is focused to help reduce the risk of wildfires in watershed lands.
