Delayed start across Colorado Springs on Dec. 14, as severe weather closes in

KRDO

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- City officials are announcing delayed starts across Colorado Springs in light of severe weather closing in on the southern region.

All City of Colorado Springs non-essential personnel are being advised to report to work at 10 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 14.

Emergency responders and essential personnel are required to report to work on time.

Meanwhile, Mountain Metro busses will be operating on a normal schedule, however, riders should be prepared for possible delays due to weather.

City officials add that snow crews are continuing a full call-out for snow removal operations citywide and are working to finish clearing primary and secondary roadways.

They say road conditions are slushy and de-icing material is working at current temperatures.

Drivers are asked to use caution around working snow plows, allow plenty of room to pass, and maintain a safe distance as crews have limited visibility.
