Funeral date set for police Sergeant Michael Moran

CORTEZ, Colo, (KRDO) -- The funeral for fallen police officer Sergeant Michael Moran will be held at the Cortez Recreation Center on December 6, 2023.

The service will not be open to the public. The community will be able to stream the funeral online. Members of the community are also invited to stand along Main Street to view the procession.

Sergeant Moran was shot and killed on November 29, 2023. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation released the identity of 44-year-old Jason Campbell as the suspect in officer Moran's murder.
