Victim of weekend stabbing homicide in Colorado Springs identified
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The victim of a homicide this past weekend in Colorado Springs has been identified.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded to the 500 block of South Cedar Street to investigate a stabbing call for service on Saturday, Oct. 21. When the officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from at least one stab wound. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, he succumbed to his injuries, CSPD said.
On October 23, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office completed the autopsy of the deceased male, who has been identified as 27-year-old Adonais Gallegos of Colorado Springs.
According to CSPD, 22-year-old Marianna Guerra was arrested and has been charged with Murder in the 1st Degree in connection to Gallegos' death. She is being held at the El Paso County Jail.
This is the 27th homicide in the city of Colorado Springs in 2023. At this time last year, there were 40 homicides investigated, according to CSPD.
