Monsoon moisture continues with afternoon storms

Another day with numerous showers and thunderstorms as monsoon moisture get pushed into southern Colorado.

TODAY: Increasing clouds this afternoon with highs in the 80s and 80s. The best window for rain and storms will be from 1 pm through the early evening. These will be slow moving and capable of producing localized flooding.

TONIGHT: A few storms may linger the late-night hours... before eventually weakening overnight. Morning lows Wednesday will fall into the 50s and 60s.

EXTENDED: Shower and thunderstorm chance will remain elevated through Wednesday and Thursday with numerous storms expected during the afternoon and evening.  Temperatures will remain in a similar range of the mid-80s and mid-90s. Cooler temperatures will arrive by the end of the weekend and early next week.
