Manitou Springs Police Department to receive life-saving armor from SHIELD616

MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- The Manitou Springs Police Department (MSPD) will be receiving potentially life-saving armor following its partnership with non-profit organization SHIELD616. 

SHIELD616 focuses on providing essential equipment for law enforcement officers and with support from donors, the new body armor is coming at no cost to the MSPD.

Now, a special presentation ceremony is being held to support those individual officers as community members and business owners gather for the significant event. 

The ceremony will be held on Monday, August 7, at 6 p.m. at City Hall located on 606 Manitou Avenue. 

The public will have an opportunity to stand alongside officers during the presentation to provide encouragement, prayers, and unwavering support.
