Veterans Day Parade happening this weekend in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The annual Colorado Springs Veterans Day Parade returns to downtown Colorado Springs this Saturday, Nov. 5.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and is free and open to the public.
Because of the parade, Tejon St. will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon between Cache la Poudre St. and Cimarron St. Dale Street, Monument Street, Willamette Street, St. Vrain Street, Boulder Street, Platte Avenue, Bijou Street, Kiowa Street, Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Avenue, Vermijo Avenue, and Costilla Street will also be closed between Cascade Ave. and Nevada Ave.
The city is encouraging attendees to park in public parking garages. Handicap parking will be available along Cimino Dr. and can be accessed at the intersection of Colorado Avenue and Cimino Drive.
