PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Thursday, hundreds of elementary and middle school kids in Pueblo County District 70 were greeted with a fall surprise.
The Assistant Superintendent of D70, Ronda Rein and her husband, Michael donated more than 400 pumpkins to 11 different schools in the district.
The Rein's own Hirakata Farms and produce thousands of pumpkins each year. This is the second year in a row that the family has donated pumpkins to area school kids.
"The best part of this is providing something for our kids that they can find joy in as much as I find joy in giving it to them," Ronda Rein said.
Rein added that she hopes to continue this tradition for years to come.
