COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A woman has died following a stabbing that injured another person at a home in northwest Colorado Springs.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) was called to the home on the 1200 block of Dancing Horse Dr. around 7:20 p.m. Thursday. When officers arrived they found a woman and a man requiring immediate medical attention for life-threatening injuries.

Both victims were transported to the hospital where the woman succumbed to her injuries. The man was last listed in stable condition.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man at the scene and took him to the El Paso Co. jail after he was treated for what's being described as 'self-inflicted injuries'. The suspect's name has not been released at this time but CSPD says he's related to the female victim. He's charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault.

Investigators say there are no other suspects in this case, and that there is no danger to the community. However, they're asking anyone who may have been a witness to please contact the Colorado Springs Police Department at (719) 444-7000, or Crime Stoppers at (719) 634-STOP (7867).
