Pueblo police arrest man accused of stealing Jeep, threatening officers

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- A 35-year-old man was arrested Saturday after Pueblo police say he stole a vehicle and threatened to hit officers with it.

The Pueblo Police Department said the incident happened on Aug. 29, 2026, at approximately 12:19 p.m., when Brandon Brown allegedly stole a silver Jeep Cherokee.

According to police, Brown threatened to hit officers with the stolen vehicle and indicated he would resort to “suicide by cop” if apprehended.

PPD says it worked alongside its Real-Time Crime Center to locate the stolen vehicle and Brown.

At approximately 1:14 p.m., an officer located Brown near E. 8th Street and Amarillo Avenue, says law enforcement. PPD says Brown was taken into custody safely without further incident.

Police confirm that Brown was charged with the following:

• Second-degree motor vehicle theft
• Restraining order violation
• Domestic violence
