Shooting at Memorial Park marks six-weekend shootings

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating six separate shootings that happened in 72 hours. The latest happened Sunday night at Memorial Park.

Police say around 9:30 p.m., they received a call for shots fired in the park. Investigators say a fight between a man and a woman led to the 20-year-old woman being shot.

She suffered non-life-threatening injuries. CSPD says the two knew each other, but they don't know what their relationship is. The suspect exchanged gunfire with another person and then fled the season.

CSPD says they have a limited description of the suspect, but say he's a white man about 5'5.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Colorado Springs Police Department at (719) 444-7000. To remain anonymous, call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (719) 634-7687 or 1-800-222-8477.
