CSPD investigating bank robbery on Garden of the Gods Road

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Just before noon on Wednesday, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call about a bank robbery on Garden of the Gods Road.

CSPD said the incident occurred in the 1300 block of W. Garden of the Gods Road.

Officers responded and their investigation revealed that an unidentified person entered the bank and demanded money. The person then fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

This is the second bank robbery on Garden of the Gods Road in three days. On Monday, Aug. 15, a bank in the 1100 block of W. Garden of the Gods Road was robbed.

CSPD said the investigation into both robberies is ongoing and anyone with information on either incident is encouraged to contact the Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers.
