The neighborhood meeting regarding “Sunset Amphitheater” has been rescheduled
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The company that is building the Sunset Amphitheater, Notes Live, has rescheduled the neighborhood meeting that was planned for August 17 to September 13 from 5-7 p.m.
The meeting will be held at Boot Barn Hall, 13071 Bass Pro Drive, Colorado Springs 80921.
Notes Live moved the meeting so that the parking and access management plan could be completed for the meeting. This way the public will have more details provided.
“Notes Live is committed to the Sunset Amphitheater being an asset that Colorado Springs values. Over recent months we have worked diligently in providing our plans to the City of Colorado Springs and also given strong consideration to the feedback we have received from the local community,” said Bob Mudd, Notes Live president and chief operating officer. “Access to the venue and the use of offsite parking have been consistent points of community feedback, which has been valuable to achieving our goal of presenting the best project possible.”
Notes Live says that the project team has been actively working on options to increase onsite
parking.
To complete its management plan, Notes Live has engaged Kimley-Horn the preeminent national leader in traffic, parking, and shuttle management planning for venues and sporting events. “Based on results of the planning study, we anticipate incorporating refinements to a number of elements of the project, especially as they relate to traffic and parking management,” said Mudd. “Given the scope involved, additional time is needed for Kimley-Horn to complete the plan prior to resubmittal to the City.”
