Fountain Police asking for public’s help in finding missing 7-year-old boy

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Fountain Police Department asked the public for help in finding a missing 7-year-old boy last seen Saturday around 5:30 p.m. in the area of 800 South Santa Fe Ave in Fountain.

The boy, Ashton Laymon, is 3-foot-8 inches and weighs around 60 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Ashton was last seen wearing a black short sleeve shirt, dark blue shorts, and gray and white New Balance tennis shows.

According to Fountain police, the young boy told his mom he was going to stay with a friend but wouldn’t tell her who he was going to stay with, and he hasn’t returned home.
