Wet stretch of weather headed our way, increased flash flooding potential

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild overnight. Showers will linger Morning lows Tuesday will bottom out in the mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop over the mountains during the late morning and afternoon hours. Activity will push east, impacting the I-25 corridor and plains between 4-10 PM. Temperatures look to stay right around average, in the 80's along the front range and low to mid 90's out towards the plains.


EXTENDED: An elevated chance for showers and thunderstorms remains in the forecast through Friday. Burn scars and urban areas along the front range are at risk of localized flooding through the remainder of the work week. And we'll continue to enjoy mild summer temperatures in the mid-80s and low-90s through Saturday. A return to warmer temperatures gets underway on Sunday.
