Deadly single-vehicle crash in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A vehicle ran through a fence and a shed after driving off the right side of the road.

On June 27, 2022, Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) was called to 7575 Hickorywood drive. They were responding to a single-vehicle traffic accident.

According to CSPD, the vehicle had driven off the right side of the road, went through a fence, and a wooden shed before coming to a stop.

Due to the nature of the crash members of the Major Crash Team were contacted and responded to the
scene to assume the investigation. While investigating, detectives were notified that the driver had died due to her injuries.

On June 28, 2022, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy on the deceased
driver. The driver has been identified as 32-year-old Jowanna R. Gamble. This is the 24 fatal traffic crash in 2022.
