Police investigate reported overnight shooting on Burton Way
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A man is dead from his injuries following a reported overnight shooting in northeast Colorado Springs.
Wednesday, officers from the Stetson Hills Division received a report of a gunshot wound victim getting treatment at Penrose-St. Francis Medical Center, just before 1 a.m.
At the hospital, police say they learned a shooting happened in the 4400 block of Burton Way.
In response, police contacted the Violent Crimes Homicide/Assault Unit to resume the investigation.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
