Three juveniles charged in connection with Pueblo carjacking

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Three juveniles face charges in connection with an armed carjacking investigation.

Pueblo Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Baystate Ave. around 3:00 a.m. on May 7. A woman told dispatchers that three juvenile males armed with pistols and wearing masks and hoodies stole her car.

While heading toward the call, an officer observed a car matching the description the woman gave in the area of Northern and Berkley Avenues, and that it was occupied by three males wearing masks.

A short pursuit ensued after investigators say the car refused to stop for police. Officers successfully stopped the car on the 400 block of W. Northern Ave. The three juveniles were taken into custody and positively identified as the males believed to be involved in the carjacking. A loaded 9mm handgun was found in the car.

Pueblo Police say all three suspects have extended violent criminal histories, are known gang members, and are currently prohibited from possessing weapons. They now face charges including Aggravated Robbery, First-Degree Motor Vehicle Theft, and Restraining Order Violation. One suspect has a current felony warrant for
Weapons Charges.
