Bond denied for Pueblo man who pleaded not guilty to federal weapons charges

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- A Pueblo man has pleaded not guilty to federal weapons charges.

13 Investigates has been tracking Leonard Cordova's repeated felony violations in which he was granted several six-figure bonds in recent months.

In a pre-trial detention order hearing, a federal judge said the evidence against Cordova is strong, citing six prior felony convictions. The judge also said there is no combination of conditions of his release that will reasonably ensure the safety of the community, therefore his bond was denied.

Cordova will face a jury on June 13.
