Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory preparing sweet treats for Easter

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- With Easter just a few days away, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Old Colorado City is gearing up to provide people with a basket full of sweet treats.

A busy time for the Chocolate Factory, store owner Mazie Baalman says they sell thousand of bunnies this time of year. Additionally, Baalman said they sell hundreds of candied apples between local stores.

"It's a couple of thousand bunnies that we've made for both locations, and now through the end of the week we'll go through a thousand apples between both stores," said Baalman.

The Old Colorado City location will be open on Easter Sunday starting at 11 am for any last-minute needs.
