Tony’s Nacho Tacos food truck making stops around Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- For the past two months, Tony's Nacho Tacos food truck has been up and running in Colorado Springs.
Back in October, Tony Rojas was gifted the food truck after he had fallen on hard times, and his nacho tacos when viral on TikTok.
Tony says this is a dream come true, but it hasn't always been easy. There are some ups and downs with running a food truck in the winter, but Tony has had support from people in Colorado Springs.
He's been working with Chef Brother Luck to get his business organized and partnering with Chef Josh Vail.
"It’s been great. It was a shift overnight so I had to just take a hold onto the reigns and go with it. It was difficult it really was- to be homeless me and my wife by ourselves for two years while the pandemic was going on. It was hard at first to be around people, but with the Dream team and Brother Luck, it helped me embrace it and work with people again," said Rojas.
Along with the help from the local community, SpeedPro, a printing and graphics company, donated the wrap on Tony's truck.
"We are a network of entrepreneurs. We saw Tony's story and wanted to be able to help Tony get his business off the ground. We wanted to be able to brand boldy and get the vehicle more traffic not only on social media but here locally to get customers to the truck," said Danielle Yuthas with SpeedPro.
Tony's Nacho Tacos is booked through April. You can find out more about where they'll be here or visit any of their social media pages @tonysnachotacos.
They also have a GoFundMe page to help with business expenses.
