Saturday morning house fire chars two homes in Security-Widefield area

SECURITY-WIDEFIELD, Colo. (KRDO) -- A house fire around 10:30 a.m. Saturday partially burned one home and spread to another causing some damage on Buffalo Creek Trail in the Security-Widefield area, according to Security-Widefield Fire Department.

Fire officials said the home where the fire originated was significantly burned, but not a total loss, and the home it spread to had slight charring.

The departments that responded to the fire were Security, Fountain, Hanover, Stratmoor, and Fort Carson, making up the "South Group".
