Downtown Colorado Springs restaurants expect to be busy Valentine’s Day
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., (KRDO)- In Colorado Springs and across the country, places will be packed as Americans are projected to spend $4.3 billion dollars dining out on Valentine's Day.
It's that time of the year again, people showing their loved ones how much they care. But if you were planning to come downtown and take your pick of places, you might be a very sorry valentine.
"We're already 98 percent booked and so it is going to be just like a Friday night, you know, we are going to have full house, live music," said Ben Gallegos, Co-Owner of Epiphany.
On the corner of Colorado Street is Epiphany, a new Latin cuisine restaurant getting ready for their first Valentine's Day ever.
" I mean January we had the holiday downtick, but as soon February hit, we have been super busy. People are out, enjoying themselves they love these unique venues, unique food and so we are very optimistic, we have been hitting a lot of our goals," added Gallegos.
Gallegos said they're exceeding their normal revenue numbers for a Monday.
The Rabbit Hole on N. Tejon Street has been around for more than a decade.
"We've been booked up for tonight about three and a half weeks ago," expressed Shannon Quintana with The Rabbit Hole.
They're looking forward to a full house after the pandemic led them to have stricter restrictions in the past few years.
"We are pretty excited, we have definitely done a lot of work to get things ready for tonight, we brought in fresh flowers, special menus, special drinks so we are definitely very excited to celebrate with everybody," said Quintana.
If you still need a place to eat Valentine's dinner, our best recommendation is to call ahead to see if a restaurant can squeeze you, or find a spot that's not in the heart of downtown.
