California mother accused of killing son last seen in Colorado
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KRDO) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced they need help to find a mother they say is the main suspect in her son's death.
According to ABC News, 7-year-old Liam Hustead was found near a highway outside of Las Vegas on May 28. His body was found by hikers. Police initially asked the public for help identifying his body.
Police say Hustead and his mother left San Jose, California, on May 24. Their vehicle was packed full of belongings. The last time they were both seen was May 26, in Laguna Beach, California, and Victorville, California.
The LVMPD identified the child found in the Mountain Springs Trailhead as 7-year-old Liam Husted. Detectives identified Husted’s mother, 35 yo Samantha Moreno Rodriguez as the suspect. She was last seen in Denver, CO driving a 2007 Dodge Caliber with CA 6WLH211. pic.twitter.com/L8BcJ7eVzR

His mother has been identified as Samantha Moreno Rodriguez, 35. She was last seen alone at a Denver-area hotel. She was driving a 2007 Dodge Caliber with California plates 6WLH211.
Police told ABC News it was clear the boy was killed, but did not say the official cause of death.
Anyone with information on her location is asked to contact local law enforcement.
