Pikes Peak International Hill Climb removes limit on spectators

KRDO

PIKES PEAK, Colo. (KRDO) -- There will be no restrictions on spectators attending the 2021 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

Wednesday, Hill Climb officials announced there will not be a limit to the number of spectators.

In January, officials had said only a limited amount of tickets were available due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Officials say the first 3,500 fans through the Gateway on Race Day will receive a goodie bag.

While fans are allowed to watch the event, there will not be a Fan Fest in Downtown Colorado Springs. Instead, fans are invited to visit Weidner Field and to stop by the Fan Zone to pick up race tickets, programs, and official Pikes Peak International Hill Climb merchandise.

Race Day is Sunday, June 27, beginning at 7:30 a.m. KRDO will be broadcasting a radio presentation of the race, as has been tradition for decades.
