Police arrest suspect after standoff in north Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police in Colorado Springs were called to the Skylark Apartments Wednesday afternoon, and a brief standoff took place before a person was taken into custody.

The standoff started around 3 p.m. at the building, which is near 3800 Nevada Ave. Numerous CSPD officers were seen in the area, and an officer said on a loudspeaker for a suspect to "walk out slowly."

Police took a person into custody without issues around 5:50 p.m.

This is the second time in two months that a standoff has occurred at the Skylark Apartments.
